1. Information We Collect

When you use LegalSimplifier, we may collect: account information (name, email) when you sign up; documents you upload or paste for simplification; usage data (pages visited, features used, timestamps); and payment information processed securely by Stripe - we never store card numbers.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to provide and improve the service, process AI simplifications and analyses, send transactional emails, and analyze usage patterns. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Document Privacy

Documents are deleted from our servers immediately after processing in Privacy Mode (on by default). Documents are only stored if you explicitly save them. We do not use your document content to train AI models. All transfers are encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS).

4. Data Retention

Account data is retained as long as your account is active. Processed documents are purged within minutes. Saved documents are retained until you delete them or close your account. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us.

5. Cookies

We use essential cookies for session management. We may use analytics cookies with your consent. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings.

6. Third-Party Services

We use Anthropic (Claude AI) for AI-powered document analysis (documents sent via API are subject to Anthropic's data policies) and Google Analytics for anonymous traffic analysis with consent.

7. Your Rights
